DNSFilter Azure Entra Sync: Streamlining Security Policy Management

This project showcases a technical integration designed to simplify user, group, and device management for IT administrators. By seamlessly connecting with Microsoft's Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory), we've created an experience that allows admins to effortlessly extend their security policies to all users and devices within their organization.

The core of this project was to abstract the complexity of directory synchronization. We designed a straightforward setup process that enables administrators to sync their existing Entra ID groups with DNSFilter. This allows for the immediate application of granular web filtering policies to specific user groups, ensuring that the right level of protection is applied to the right people.

Key features of this integration include:

• Effortless Synchronization: A simple, guided setup to connect Entra ID and DNSFilter, with automatic synchronization to keep user and group information current.

• Granular Policy Control: The ability to apply specific filtering policies to different user groups as defined in Entra ID.

By integrating with a core component of the modern IT security stack, we've empowered administrators to manage their web security policies more efficiently and effectively, directly from the DNSFilter dashboard.
